Transcorp Appoints Mutiu Bakare Chief Financial Officer

Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp) has appointed Mutiu Adekunle Bakare as its chief financial officer effective August 7, 2017.

In a note to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Transcorp described Bakare as an astute finance professional with over 15 years’ experience in finance management.

“Bakare Mutiu brings enormous wealth of financial management experience to his new position in Transcorp,” the note stated, adding that he began his financial career in Akintola Williams Deloitte and worked with KPMG Professional Services and Shell Nigeria Closed Pension Fund Administrators.

Bakare holds a first class degree in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, an MBA (with distinction) from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom (UK), as well as an MSc in finance and investment from the University of Leeds also in the UK.

He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
