Standard Chartered Bank holds mentorship and robotics sessions for young girls

Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank, Asiedua Addae has said that Standard Chartered prioritizes empowering women and girls to positively impact society.

She made this statement during a mentorship and robotics session organized by the bank to mark International Day of Women and Girls in Science, an initiative by the Standard Chartered Bank.

Selected Girls were from the Islamic Training Institute and Al Waleed Comprehensive Basic School under the Islamic Education Unit in Accra.

The Initiative Is aimed at empowering young girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics(STEM) agenda.

Asiedua Addae has hopes that women who are impacted will see the need to transform lives and society at the end of the program.

 “A commitment to empowering girls and women remains a priority for Standard Chartered. We will continue to focus on supporting them to scale the constraints imposed on them by culture, society, or gender stereotypes. The resulting impact will be transformed lives, empowered girls and women, and positively impacted communities” she elaborated.
