Nigeria to host international gaming conference

The federal government has granted approval to elevate the National Lottery Regulatory Commission’s (NLRC) annual gaming conference to international standards. This initiative aims to expand the country’s economic opportunities and boost wealth for Nigerians by attracting foreign investments and additional resources to the conference.

Director General, National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Lanre Gbajabiamila has addressed the preparations for the conference’s 2023 edition.

Gbajabiamila mentioned that this year’s conference will feature prominent figures from the gaming industry in Africa and beyond. This decision comes after the remarkable success of the inaugural edition, which focused on key Nigerian stakeholders and industry players exclusively.

He stated that the lottery commission has prioritized creating opportunities for Nigerian gaming industry leaders and potential investors to connect with international counterparts. This aims to facilitate the growth of their operations, attract additional funding, and enhance the potential winnings for Nigerians.

The 2023 international gaming conference is scheduled to be held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, under the theme “Innovation and Disruptions: Core Strategies for Success.”
