Kenya: MarketingWorld Awards Goes Pan African,12th Edition Set to hold in Nairobi, Kenya

Africa’s premium B2B events and media specialist firm, InstinctWave has announced the launch of the12th edition of its Marketingworld scheduled to hold on the 8th of December, 2023 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in the dynamic city of Nairobi, Kenya.

The premium awards scheme, will be  celebrating and recognizing iconic brands, outstanding organizations and individuals that have put Africa on the map of global marketing with their dynamic and creative strategies, which has resulted in the delivery of superior product value to consumers while standing out from the competition in marketing and advertising across the continent.

In 2017, MWA was moved to Ghana after holding in Nigeria for 6 years, a move that was aimed at making the event Pan- African.  After holding in Ghana for another 5 years, it has moved to Nairobi Kenya. This milestone marks a significant shift in the scope of the awards, reflecting a commitment to recognize and reward remarkable achievements in the marketing and advertising industry from various African regions.

Mr. Akin Naphtal, the Group CEO of InstinctWave, emphasized the essence of expanding the awards to a Pan African scale. He stated, “The decision to transform MarketingWorld Awards into a Pan African event is a testament to our belief in the immense talent and creativity that exists within the African marketing and advertising industry. We want to provide a platform where marketing professionals and brands from all African countries can showcase their excellence, learn from each other, and inspire innovation.”

“As the African marketing and advertising industry continues to evolve and flourish, it’s essential to provide a Pan African platform like the MarketingWorld Awards. This expansion signifies our commitment to celebrating and rewarding marketing excellence from across the continent. We believe that by recognizing and showcasing outstanding campaigns and talents from various African nations, we can inspire creativity, collaboration, and innovation that transcends borders, ultimately driving the industry forward.” He added

“In addition to our array of categories, we have introduced the Africa Top 25 Public Sector Brands. The latest addition to the esteemed roster of awards at the 12th Marketing World Awards underscores our commitment to Pan-Africanism and promoting healthy competition among African brands. This new category aligns with our mission to recognize and honor entities that have adeptly integrated branding principles from corporate spaces into governance strategies, catering to diverse stakeholder needs within the public sector effectively” he emphasized.

“In its 12th year, not only will MWA celebrate brands, but honour will be bestowed on industry experts and public sector brands who have made a genuine impact on the market across industries and sectors”

“In that regard, all nominees are expected to submit entries on the online portal  https://mwa.themarketingworldmag.com/ for rigorous scrutiny by our independent judges.” He concluded

With its major footprint in Kenya, InstinctWave has been able to hold two of its signature events in Nairobi Kenya.

In September, the firm held the 4th edition of the Africa Public Sector Conference & Awards at Radisson Blu, graced by top notch industry personalities including the Spouse of the Deputy President Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, the Immediate past Cabinet secretary of Tourism, wildlife and heritage; Hon. Peninah Malonza, the current  CS for  Environment, Climate Change & Forestry, alongside four other ministers from West Africa, and other leaders across the public sector.

With that notwithstanding, in November, precisely on the 10th, the firm held the 8th edition of Africa Digital Economy Awards (ADEA) at Emara Ole Sereni, which was also graced by the cabinet Secretary of ICT and Digital Economy, his PS and other notable industry players.

This year’s MWA promises to be an extraordinary one as it will feature exciting new categories and provide an opportunity for stakeholders in the marketing & communications space to network.

Entries are open to all corporate organizations, brands, marketing firms and industry players across Africa.
