Procurement Head at GES, listed among Ghana’s Top 30 Procurement Leaders

The Instinct Business Magazine has honoured the esteemed Head of Procurement for the Ghana Education Service, Adams Zuwii, by recognizing him among Ghana’s prestigious Top 30 Procurement Leaders by.

With over 14 years of extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, Mr. Zuwii has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation in his field. His contributions have significantly advanced procurement practices in both government and donor-funded projects, earning him a reputation as a forward-thinking and strategic professional.

In his current role, Mr. Zuwii has excelled in organising, supervising, and administering procurement activities, ensuring the maintenance of complete and accurate records, and fostering strong relationships with user departments to meet procurement needs effectively. His previous tenure as Head of Procurement at the National Teaching Council from 2017 to 2019 was marked by a remarkable restructuring of the Procurement Unit.

Mr. Zuwii’s academic credentials include an MSc in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University (UK), and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Management at the Philippines Christian University. He is a Fellow Member of both the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, UK (FCIPS), and the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (FGIPS).

Throughout his career, Mr. Zuwii has played a crucial role in numerous high-impact projects, including the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP) and the Secondary Education Improvement Project (SEIP), both funded by the World Bank. His expertise and professional advice have been instrumental on various Entity Tender Committees, such as SIC Insurance Life Company, National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), Cocoa Processing Company Ltd, Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), and Coastal Development Authority (CODA).

Adams Zuwii’s innovative approach, his strong multi-tasking skills and commitment to creating value for money, has set him apart as a leader in the field. His dedication to professional development and his contributions to the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Ghana branch further emphasise his influence and impact.

Recognized previously among Africa’s Top 50 Public Procurement and Supply Chain Leaders, and as one of Ghana’s Top 10 Public Procurement Leaders, Mr. Zuwii continues to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and excellence. His latest recognition at the 6th Africa Procurement & Supply Chain Awards is proof of his unwavering commitment to advancing procurement and supply chain practices in Ghana and beyond.
