Anthony Mbagwu named new Managing Director of JumiaPay Nigeria

E-commerce giant Jumia has appointed Anthony Mbagwu as the new Managing Director of HelloPay Africa Integrated Service Limited (JumiaPay Nigeria), with effect from July 8th, 2024. Anthony takes over the mantle from Austin Okpagu who left Jumia after four years to join a global B2B payments solution company.

Prior to Jumia, Anthony worked as Senior Business Development and Partnership Manager at PalmPay.

Anthony Mbagwu has over 15 years of experience in the financial services sector. He was previously the head of business support at Unified Payments Services Limited and Head of Service Operations at Access Bank Plc, where he was responsible for developing business strategies, client acquisition, and driving revenue growth.

Anthony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos.
