NCBA Group Managing Director, John Gachora, Named InstinctBusiness CEO of the Week

InstinctBusiness Magazine has recognized John Gachora, Group Managing Director of NCBA Group, as its CEO of the Week, celebrating his outstanding leadership and contributions to the financial sector.

Mr. Gachora is a seasoned financial services executive with extensive experience in corporate and investment banking, financial structuring, commercial banking, and financial engineering. As the Group Managing Director of NCBA Group, he provides strategic leadership, driving the bank’s growth and innovation across its markets.

Before joining NCBA, he held several high-profile roles in global financial institutions. He served as Managing Director at Bank of America Securities and later as Managing Director, Corporate and Investment Banking at Barclays Africa, where he played a key role in structuring and executing complex financial transactions.

In addition to his executive roles, he sits on the boards of several companies, contributing his expertise in financial strategy, risk management, and governance.

Mr. Gachora holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. He also earned an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Under his leadership, NCBA Group continues to expand its footprint in the banking sector, leveraging digital transformation and customer-centric solutions to enhance financial inclusion and business growth.
