Amazon Launches Air Cargo Service in India

Amazon has launched an air cargo service in India, Amazon Air, looking to expand and speed-up deliveries across its markets.

Vice president of Amazon Global Air, Sarah Rhoads, says the company has invested in Indian cargo carrier Quikjet to aid in the delivery of packages to four main cities namely Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

The air cargo will give Amazon control over costs and flight schedules while reducing delivery time to two days or less.

India is the third market Amazon has introduced the Cargo Air to, and this will aid in faster distribution of goods.
