Ghana: Republic Bank supports essential hospital equipment to Wassa Dunkwa Government Hospital

Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC has demonstrated its dedication to bolstering healthcare in Ghana by contributing vital hospital equipment to the Wassa Dunkwa Government Hospital in the Amenfi West District of the Western North Region, thereby promoting the well-being of the local population.

The donated items encompass a range of critical medical equipment, such as Pulse Oximeters, Digital BP Apparatus, Weighing Scales designed for infants, Nebulizers, advanced Baby Cots, Screens, Signboards, and several other essential items.

The donation is a component of the bank’s overarching commitment to bolster healthcare facilities across Ghana. It aims to advance the accessibility and quality of healthcare services, in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG-3) – Good Health and Well-Being. This initiative reflects the bank’s dedication to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) principles.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Bank, Mr. Fred Mensah Anyamesem, the Northern Sector Manager, indicated that Republic Bank believes corporate citizenship goes beyond financial services, and that it encompasses actively participating in and supporting the well-being of the people. “Our donation today is a testament to our unwavering commitment to this belief

and we trust that these items will enhance the hospital’s capacity to serve patients and further the hospital’s mission of delivering healthcare services with excellence”, Mr. Anyamesem said.

He emphasized that Republic Bank’s unwavering commitment to community betterment is exemplified through its CSR initiative, ‘Power to Make a Difference (PMAD).’ The bank remains steadfast in supporting the dedicated healthcare professionals and the patients they serve, as a testament to its ongoing dedication to the communities it serves.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Mr. Daniel Tetteh Agudey, the Municipal Director of Health expressed the hospital’s appreciation to the officials of Republic Bank.

He further highlighted the crucial role of the Wassa Dunkwa Government Hospital in extending healthcare services to the people in the Amenfi district and its surrounding areas. The donated equipment is expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to deliver top-notch care and ensure the highest quality of healthcare to patients.
