KPMG Australia announces Four new senior appointments

KPMG Australia has announced the appointment of Jenny Roche as a new Partner, joining the Customer, Brand & Marketing Advisory (CBMA) team.

Her appointment follows the recent hires of Directors, Amrita Bhattacharyya and Jinglu McLay, who joined KPMG CBMA late last year in Melbourne; and Samantha Clark who started this week in Brisbane.

With a specific interest in the telecommunications, utilities, FMCG, retail and consumer sectors, Roche has over 25 years’ experience, including 15 years at Telstra, where she held a number of senior executive roles including being the inaugural Head of Customer Experience. Starting her career at the coalface in customer-facing roles at Myer and Telstra, Roche has also founded and run her own consulting business. She comes to KPMG from EY where she led the Customer Advisory Practice nationally.

The new senior team members join KPMG as part of an expansion that will add 12 new roles across Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and see the CBMA team grow to more than 130 people nationally.

Amanda Hicks, Partner-in-Charge, KPMG Customer, Brand & Marketing Advisory commented: “We are delighted to add Jenny to our senior leadership team. She brings a unique perspective and unrivalled experience in helping organisations re-align towards their customer needs. With the addition of Amrita, Jinglu and Sam on the back of organic growth in 2019, we have an expanded national senior CBMA team that combines significant in-house experience with in-depth consulting know-how.”

Roche, Bhattacharyya, Clark and McLay will work with clients to help their organisations achieve sustainable growth by putting customer outcomes at the centre of every decision.

Amrita Bhattacharyya joins KPMG from Suncorp where she was Head of Customer Strategy and Experience Design, responsible for marketplace definition and execution across both banking and insurance. She has seven years of executive leadership experience in Australia and 12 years of management consulting experience with top-tier consulting firms in the US. As Director – Customer Experience she will work with clients to define their customer strategy to support business objectives and deliver market-leading customer experiences.

Samantha Clark joins from Super Retail Group, where she was Group General Manager – Marketing Operations. She has over 20 years marketing and strategy experience across FMCG, Media, Medical, Travel, Education and Retail. She has a specific interest in helping clients transform to customer-centric, data-led performance marketing and personalisation models.

Jinglu McLay joins from Nous Group, where she was a Director, Business and Digital Strategy. She has 19 years of years of experience delivering customer-centric digital strategy and transformation programs for private and public sector organisations. As Director – Sales & Marketing Transformation, she will help clients to drive a single view of the customer and a customer lifetime value approach to their marketing and sales functions.

Jenny Roche, Partner, KPMG Customer, Brand & Marketing Advisory also commented that: “In this world of change, one thing is constant; to drive sustainable growth, organisations must understand customers and structure their organisations to deliver to their ever-evolving needs. To make the right strategic decisions, now more than ever organisations need a true 360-degree view of their customer.”

She further stated, “I’m excited to be joining KPMG where the team brings the best of consulting, in-house and agency experience. As we move into 2020, our goal is to empower our clients to be truly customer-centric organisations” .
