South Africa Airways Voyager launches new mobile app

South African Airways (SAA) Voyager has launched its new SAA Voyager Mobile Application.

This will give the voyager members the full control to transact business on their mobile phone on the go.

The new SAA mobile application displays customer’s status and balance of miles travelled, whiles the previous application involves additional transactional functions that benefited the customers.

The previous application also included; update of personal details, PIN reset, and award requests, claiming of missing miles, converting miles and, being able to give miles.

The SAA voyager App is an upgrade targeted at giving voyager members transactional experience with voyager in the short term.

It predicted that once SAA relaunches its Mobile APP in the latter part of the year, there will be integration between the SAA and SAA Voyager Mobile App.

It should be able to allow customers to transact smooth and continuous with SAA including check –in printing of boarding passes making or changing reservations or transactions with the voyager accounts.

According to the South Africa Airways (SAA) Executive for Customer Loyalty, Suretha Cruse, one of SAA’s key strategies is to enhance the customer experience.  “Customer insights were a key driver in the design and development of the SAA Voyager App with our Africa-based members in mind, where 80% access the internet via their mobile phones”.

SAA Voyager was Africa’s first value-based airline loyalty programme, giving members miles based on the ticket price purchased, rather than the distance travelled.  The giving distance of miles in the SAA Voyager programme remains the highest in class on the African continent whereby members get alerts on one South Africa Airways (SAA) Voyager Mile per ZAR 1.60 spent, which counts towards the status of members.

The application also gives members of the platform to spend miles on any available ticket price for flights utilized by SAA.

Over 67 partnerships globally, including the star Alliance global network, the application also gives members access to more than 1300 destination in 190 countries

The programme also allows members to spend miles on any available ticket price for flights operated by SAA. With more than 67 partnerships globally, including the Star Alliance global network, the programme gives members access to more than 1 300 destinations in 190 countries.

The SAA Voyager mobile app can be downloaded on Apple store or Google Play store.
