UBA Group Names Henry Nii Dottey as Regional Head of Marketing & Corporate Communication, Anglophone West Africa

UBA Group has announced the promotion of Henry Nii Dottey to the newly established position of Regional Head, Marketing & Corporate Communication for Anglophone West Africa. In this role, Dottey will oversee marketing strategies, corporate communication, and stakeholder engagement for the region.

Previously, Dottey served as the Country Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications for UBA Ghana Limited. In this capacity, he managed the strategy and execution of corporate social responsibility (CSR), public affairs, stakeholder engagement, and corporate and brand communications for the leading digital and electronic banking institution.

With over 20 years of experience in branding, media, corporate communication, marketing, and public relations, Dottey is recognized for his expertise in handling reputations and conflicts while building strong brands in competitive settings. His cross-industry experience spans private financial services, government, and mainstream media sectors.

Dottey’s career began as a broadcast journalist at Citi FM. He has since held various positions at organizations such as the Ghana Revenue Authority, Dominion University College, Metropolitan, Media General Ghana, Student Loan Trust Fund, Insel Communications Limited, VAT House Services, and the Institute of Public Relations Ghana. 

Since 2013, Dottey has been the honorary secretary of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana, and served as its vice president from March 2020 to May 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Ghana.

This promotion highlights UBA Group’s commitment to leveraging seasoned professionals like Dottey to drive its marketing and communication strategies across Anglophone West Africa.
