Ghana: ADB expands in Ejisu, opens 89th branch

The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) PLC has inaugurated a new branch in Ejisu, located in the Ashanti Region. This move reflects the bank’s commitment to leveraging both digital platforms and traditional brick-and-mortar channels to provide convenient banking services to its valued customers and the general public.

The new branch began operations on Monday, July 1, 2024. It is situated next to the Ejisu Divisional Police Office, with the GPS address: AE-0000-9653. In addition to the new branch, the bank continues to operate its renovated old location, now known as the Ejisu Market Agency, to complement its digital platforms and the new branch.

With the addition of the new branch, ADB’s network now includes 89 locations, consisting of 83 branches and 6 agencies. The new branch will offer comprehensive banking services, including Commercial & SME Banking, Trade Financing, Corporate Banking, Retail & Consumer Banking, Electronic Banking, Asset Financing, and Parastatals & Institutional Banking. Additional services such as remittance and collections will also be available at the new location.

The opening of the new branch aligns with the bank’s expansion strategy and responds to requests from our valued customers and key stakeholders in Ejisu and its surrounding areas to extend our services further into the community.

In a brief remark, the Managing Director of the Bank, Alhaji Alhassan Yakubu-Tali, stated that the opening of the new branch forms part of ADB’s broader vision to expand its footprint across the country, bringing banking to the doorsteps of our cherished customers and the general public.

“Over the past few years, ADB PLC embarked on an ambitious growth strategy, focusing on enhancing its service delivery, adopting innovative technologies & digital services, as well as expanding its brick and mortar branch network to make banking more accessible to our customers and the general public as whole,” he said.

“The opening of the new branch is therefore an opportunity for the Bank to extend its services to other areas within Ejisu and to meet the diverse banking needs of our customers in general,” he added.

He mentioned that with the expansion of service in Ejisu, banking is now more accessible to both existing and potential customers and urged them to visit or contact the new branch or the agency for all their banking needs or transactions.

The Acting General Manager of Retail Banking, Mr. Frank Okyere-Adarkwa, also expressed enthusiasm about the prospects of the new branch and the agency in Ejisu. Mr. Okyere-Adarkwa stated that the opening of the new branch, in particular, reinforces the Bank’s retail vision of making banking accessible to both customers and potential customers.

The Area Manager in charge of Ashanti, Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions, Mr. Felix Segu Eshun, also expressed excitement about the opening of the new branch. He stated that the new branch will not only allow the area as a whole to deepen banking relations with our valued customers, but will also create an opportunity to reach other areas of the market and to onboard potential customers.
