Access Bank Gambia Introduces new Product

Access Bank Gambia management and staff launched its new products and services to the market, which include: ATM24/7, Visa, Verve, E banking 24/7, Western Union, Access Africa and Taxes and a new logo for the Bank.

Commenting on the launch, the board chairman, Papa Yusupha Njie, hailed the products and services, pointing out that the new logo of Access Bank will surely drive the bank’s ambition in the country and beyond.

“We hope and pray that this will be the third of many things ahead for the people who work at Access Bank; people who have Access Bank at heart and people who own Access Bank.”

Njie said this showed that despite The Gambia being small, “in our midst we have one of the biggest banks operating in the largest economy of Africa, Nigeria and of course The Gambia.”

He believes that these products and services will strengthen the international trade specific to Gambia. “We are confident that we will be able to attract the best in this country.”

Also speaking, Managing director and CEO of Access Bank Gambia, Ayokunle Olagubu, disclosed Access Bank is one company with over 600 branches and 29 million customers worldwide.

He further explained that Access Bank will have a formidable commercial and retail banking business, providing significant opportunities to customers, staff, shareholders and other stakeholders. “Our new logo fuses Diamond Bank and Access Bank’s brands together, and we have launched a new brand promise – access: more than banking – which symbolises the two banks’ shared philosophy.”

He added that the combination of Diamond Bank’s strong retail customer franchise and leading digital platform with Access Bank’s corporate banking capabilities and proven risk management and capital management expertise will create a diversified financial institution with strong value creation potential.
