AirtelTigo announces new appointments

AirtelTigo has announced the appointment of new executives to the management team.

Mr. Emmanuel Adjei, has been appointed Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer. Mr. Adjei has over 17-years working experience as a corporate lawyer with vast expertise in Information Communications Technology (ICT) regulation and compliance.

Mr. Prince Sarpong, former IT Services Director assumes the role of Chief Information Officer as the organization reinforces its Technology function. Mr. Sarpong is of extensive IT and Business transformation experience, which spans across the Africa region.

Current Chief Operation Officer, Mr. Murthy Chaganti, assumes additional responsibility over the Commercial function. Mr. Chaganti, has been with the organization since January 2018 prior to which he was with Airtel India, where he left a track record of driving strong commercial performance while building and developing talent within the team.

These executives take over from the following people who are moving on from the organisation to pursue other interests; Ms. Hannah Agbozo, Mr. Amir Abdelazim and Mr. Arslan Khan who till now have headed Legal & Regulatory, Technology and Commercial functions respectively. Mr. Bright Owusu-Bempah, Chief Financial Officer is also said to be moving on in December 2018.
