Ardova Plc appoints Abiola Babatunde-Ojo as Managing Director

Ardova Plc (AP) has announced the appointment of Dr.Abiola Oluwaseyi Babatunde-Ojo as the new Managing Director of the company.

A seasoned executive with over 20 years of multifaceted experience spanning the banking and oil & gas industries, Dr. Babatunde-Ojo brings a strong track record of corporate leadership, strategic business development, and enterprise-wide transformation to her new role.

She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Business and Innovation Studies, Washington DC; a Master’s degree in Corporate Governance from Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom; and a BSc in Statistics from the University of Ibadan.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the National Institute of Credit Administration (NICA), and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. She is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Directors (IoD).

Before her appointment at AP, Dr. Babatunde-Ojo had a distinguished 14-year career at Prudent Energy, where she rose through key leadership positions. She most recently served as Managing Director, having previously held roles as Chief Commercial Officer, General Manager, Trade & Finance, and Trade Finance Manager.

In these capacities, she was responsible for driving integrated commercial strategies, managing trading portfolios, overseeing marketing, sales, and customer service, financial management, inventory, and cost control, as well as building strong relationships with local and international stakeholders to drive business growth and profitability.

Earlier in her career, she served as Business Development Manager at United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group, where she played key roles in branch management, liability generation, risk asset creation, customer relationship management, and profitability oversight.

The Board of Ardova Plc expressed confidence that Dr. Babatunde-Ojo’s deep industry expertise, strategic acumen, and proven leadership will usher in a new era of growth and operational excellence for the company.
