 Coca-Cola Company announces new President for Africa Operating Unit

Coca-Cola Company has declared Luisa Ortega as the president of the company’s Africa operating unit.

President Luisa Ortega as the head of the company’s Africa operating unit will oversee markets across the continent, currently Ortega serves as president of the company’s central zone in Latin America, which includes Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Central America and the Caribbean.

Ortega as Coca-Cola Africa operating unit head will take effect on 1st February 2023, also She will relocate to Johannesburg in 2023 to take charge as the new president.

 Ortega replaces Bruno Pietracci, who has been named president of Coca-Cola’s Latin America operating unit.

Ortega and Pietracci will report to Henrique Braun, who becomes President, International Development, for Coca-Cola on 1st January 2023. Braun has served as president of Coca-Cola’s Latin America operating unit since 2020.

Henrique Braun has expressed how this initiative by the company will improve Coca-Cola’s capture in Africa and Latin America under Luisa Ortega and Bruno Pietracci respectively.

“I’m happy to see Luisa take her knowledge and global expertise to lead our operations in Africa,” Braun said. “I’m also pleased to welcome Bruno back to his native Latin America, where he has extensive experience across a number of markets.”
