Ecobank Uganda launches eMCA to drive digital merchant financing
Ecobank Uganda has officially launched the Electronic Merchant Cash Advance (eMCA), a digital financing solution designed to give eligible merchants quick and convenient access to working capital based on their transaction performance.
The launch ceremony, held at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala, was officiated by Hon. Eng. Asiimwe Jonard, Minister of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, as Chief Guest. He was joined by Ecobank Uganda Board Chairman Mr. David F.K. Mpanga, Managing Director Ms. Muliisa Grace, partners, customers and other stakeholders.

The eMCA marks a significant step towards making finance more accessible, data-driven and responsive to the realities of business operations. By assessing merchants on the strength of their transaction history, the solution enables businesses to secure working capital for restocking inventory, managing cash flow, expanding operations and taking advantage of new opportunities.
