Ghana: Republic Bank Appoints EY as New External Auditors

Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC has announced the appointment of EY as its new external auditors, effective from the 2024 financial year, in line with regulatory requirements. This change follows the conclusion of the Bank’s five-year engagement with KPMG, who served as the auditors from 2018 to 2023.

The selection of EY was the result of a thorough process, demonstrating the Bank’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance, transparency, and regulatory compliance. As a publicly listed company on the Ghana Stock Exchange, Republic Bank remains dedicated to providing accurate and timely financial reporting to maintain the trust of its shareholders, customers, and the general public.

In a statement, the Bank expressed gratitude to KPMG for their years of dedicated service and extended a warm welcome to EY as the new external auditors. 

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank KPMG for their years of service and welcome EY as our new external auditors,” the statement read.
