Jumia Kenya launches Gadget Monday in preparation for tech week

Chief Marketing Officer for Jumia Kenya, Hellen Nganga has announced that Jumia Gadget will help in brand positioning.

Jumia Kenya yesterday launched Gadget Mondays, a brand campaign aimed at informing consumer decisions through tech gadgets like smartphones, home appliances, and computing devices.

Jumia known solely as its home of tech brands in Kenya will feature brands like Tecno, Samsung, Xiaomi, Freeyond, and Oppo.

“This is an excellent opportunity for brands to co-produce content with us and showcase their assortment on channels like Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram, which tech-savvy consumers have shown a great affinity for. Jumia Gadget Mondays will help brands position themselves through content user needs such as affordability, longevity, and novelty”, said Jumia Kenya’s Chief Marketing Officer, Hellen Nganga

Gadget Monday is purposely to create awareness of Jumia’s official stores ahead of its Tech Week Campaign in March, focusing on accessories like phones, cameras, game consoles, and televisions.

In addition to the newly launched Tecno Phantom X2 series, Hellen Nganga believes the initiative will make purchasing the accessories on its social media handle lenient.

“We are happy to announce that we will kick off our Gadget Monday today with the newly launched Tecno Phantom X2 Series, aimed at helping consumers have a seamless purchase journey through our tech review on our social media pages. The X2 series will feature today from 12 pm-1 pm”.
