Kenya: Bolt appoints Caroline Wanjihia as Africa Director

Bolt has named Caroline Wanjihia as the Regional Director for Ride-Hailing Operations in Africa and International Markets (Middle East, Asia, and LATAM).

The company stated that appointing Caroline Wanjihia as Regional Director is a part of their ongoing commitment to optimizing operations, ensuring sustained growth, and investing in local talent.

Wanjihia will play a key role in overseeing current regional operations and leading new strategic initiatives, including continent-wide expansion.

Wanjihia expressed her enthusiasm for the appointment, emphasizing the immense potential in Africa. She believes ride-hailing services can transform how people travel, connect, and access economic opportunities on the continent.

“My dedication lies in contributing meaningfully to the company’s mission, fostering safe, reliable and accessible mobility solutions and driving growth across the continent and beyond,” Wanjihia said.

Wanjihia has 15 years experience in Business Development and Operations Director. Having worked for Coca-Cola, Diageo, Barclays, PwC and Old Mutual in their business strategy and growth.

Wanjihia holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Nairobi and is a Certified Public Accountant and a CFA Level III candidate.
