Obinna Dike appointed MD of Treasures Microfinance Bank

Obinna Dike, a seasoned banking professional with over two decades of post-graduate experience in commercial banking, microfinance, and fintech, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Treasures Microfinance Bank.

His appointment brings a wealth of strategic leadership, deep operational expertise, and a strong passion for financial inclusion to the fast-growing institution in Lagos.

Dike’s career spans key segments of the financial services industry, including commercial banking operations, corporate banking, private sector lending, post-merger integration projects, and finance house operations. He has built a distinguished track record as a problem-solver, team player, and results-oriented leader with exceptional skills in relationship management, customer service, credit analysis, negotiation, business development, and strategic planning.

Throughout his career, Dike has demonstrated strong expertise in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) segment, particularly within the microfinance space. He is known for his creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to design and execute business strategies that drive sustainable growth and profitability. His leadership philosophy centres on the critical role of effective management in organisational success, a principle honed over the last five years in senior leadership positions.

Before his appointment at Treasures Microfinance Bank, Dike served as Managing Director of Smart Access International Solutions Limited, a fintech company. He previously held the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at EdFin Microfinance Bank (Education Finance), where he provided overall leadership for business development, marketing strategy, and product development aimed at achieving budgeted growth and enhancing customer satisfaction.

At Accion Microfinance Bank, he served as Head of Bank for the South-South/South-East region and Head of SME Banking, overseeing coordinated business development strategies, team leadership, and the creation of targeted products for maximum market penetration.

Earlier in his career, Dike held several senior roles at Fidelity Bank Plc, including Head of Value Chain (Sugar & Flour Milling Companies) in Corporate Banking, Relationship Manager (Corporate Banking), Regional Operations Manager, and Head of Operations, gaining extensive experience in operational efficiency, customer engagement, and large-scale corporate lending.
