Oluwaseun Nelson appointed Executive Director of Neimeth

The Board of Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. Temitayo O. Nelson as Executive Director, Finance.

Mrs Nelson succeeds Chris U. Mmeje, who will be retiring as the Executive Director, Finance from the firm effective October, 2019.

Chris joined the company and Board as Finance Director in April, 2008 and has had a successful career.

In addition, he served as Assistant general MD/CEO of the company between October, 2017 and January, 2019.

Taking the new position, Florence is empowered and now challenged with the responsibilities of keeping accurate records of Board proceedings and disseminating as required decisions of the Board and generally relate with the members of the Board in ensuring their effectiveness among other functions.

BRIEF PROFILE OF NELSON

Mrs. Temitayo O. Nelson is a multi-skilled and astute professional who has been instrumental to various strategic turnarounds in organizations she worked with and in various capacities both in Nigeria and in United Kingdom.

Her experience in the financial service sector cut across erstwhile Standard Trust Bank (now United Bank for Africa) between 2000-2005 where she rose from Internal Control Officer to Area Compliance Manager within the bank’s Risk Management Division.

She was the Group Head General Ledger Control and Management 2005-2006 before she joined erstwhile Bank PHB (now Keystone Bank) and led the Corporate Audit functions for the bank.

She is an avid finance professional; risk manager and business process re-engineer who also held human resource management and corporate strategy roles within her career span.

Prior to joining Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc, she functioned as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer for ChamsSwitch Ltd, an e-Payment company, leading the entire finance and risk management department between 2015-2018 and she supported Group strategic and operational requirements.

Nelson is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and a Chartered Banker. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Agricultural Extension Services from University of Ibadan in 1997.

She is expected to bring her wealth of professional experience both in the Banking and Manufacturing sectors to Neimeth in its quest for new level of operational efficiency that will create value for stakeholders.
