Prudential Zenith Life Insurance Limited (PZL) has announced the appointment of ‘Tokunboh Ishmael as Chair of its Board of Directors and Funmilayo Abimbola Omo as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, signaling a new leadership era for the company.

The appointments come shortly after Prudential plc acquired the remaining 49% stake in PZL, becoming its sole owner—a move that underscores the group’s long-term commitment to Nigeria and the broader African market.

Ishmael, a seasoned impact investor and Chartered Financial Analyst, brings over two decades of experience in investment banking, private equity, and technology across Africa, Europe, and North America. She expressed enthusiasm about her new role, stating: “I am honoured to chair the Board of Prudential Zenith Life at this pivotal time… and contribute to the company’s continued growth in the Nigerian market.”
