Standard Bank Namibia appoints new Head of Personal & Private Banking

Standard Bank Namibia has appointed Jerome Namaseb as Executive Officer: Personal & Private Banking, effective 3 August 2026.

Namaseb joins the bank’s Executive Leadership Team with more than a decade of experience across banking, financial services, strategy, product management and executive leadership.

The appointment is intended to strengthen the bank’s focus on innovative banking solutions, improved customer experiences and sustainable growth.

Most recently, Namaseb led the development of one of Namibia’s pioneering sustainable infrastructure initiatives, highlighting his ability to deliver transformative projects with long-term economic impact.

He previously held senior leadership roles in the financial services sector, where he drove business growth, product innovation, customer value propositions and strategic market expansion.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Actuarial Science and Mathematics from the University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Economics Honours degree from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST).

Standard Bank Namibia Chief Executive Erwin Tjipuka welcomed the appointment. “We are delighted to welcome Jerome to Standard Bank Namibia. He brings a wealth of experience, strategic insight and a proven ability to deliver commercial growth while building high-performing teams.

His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our customer proposition, deepen client relationships and advance our ambition of driving Namibia’s growth,” he said.

Tjipuka added that Namaseb’s track record of leading transformational initiatives and delivering meaningful customer and business outcomes positions him well to guide the Personal & Private Banking business into its next phase of growth and innovation.
