VFD Group appoints Ijeoma Emezie-Ezigbo as new Deputy Managing Director

VFD Group has appointed Ijeoma Emezie-Ezigbo as Deputy Managing Director, bringing a seasoned deal-advisory leader into its executive team as the institution deepens its governance and long-term growth agenda.

Announcing the appointment on its official LinkedIn page, the Group said: “We are pleased to welcome Ijeoma Emezie-Ezigbo as Deputy Managing Director to the executive leadership team.”
VFD Group described her as a professional with more than two decades of experience across corporate finance, transaction advisory, mergers and acquisitions, business valuation and strategic financial management. “Ijeoma brings significant expertise to VFD Group’s executive leadership,” the Group said.

She most recently served as Partner and Head of Transaction Services, West Africa, at KPMG Nigeria, with earlier experience at Stanbic IBTC Group, IBM Canada and Canadian Tire Corporation.

On the significance of the move, VFD Group said: “Her appointment marks an important step in VFD Group’s institutional journey, strengthening our governance framework, strategic oversight and leadership continuity as we build for sustainable long-term growth.”

At KPMG West Africa, Emezie-Ezigbo led the Transaction Services and Valuations practice, guiding multidisciplinary teams on mergers and acquisitions, commercial and financial due diligence, valuations and strategic transactions. Before heading the West Africa practice, she oversaw the strategic direction, client portfolio and operational performance of KPMG’s Transaction Services unit, leading major engagements across consumer markets, financial services, energy and technology.

As Partner in Deal Advisory, she directed multi-sector M&A, due diligence, valuation and financial modelling assignments for corporates, private equity firms and global investors, and played a central role in expanding the firm’s deal footprint across Africa, Europe and Asia.
