Vodacom Appoints Videsha Proothveerajh as New Director of Vodacom Business

Vodacom has named Videsha Proothveerajh as its new Director of Vodacom Business, effective 1 June 2024. Videsha will drive the Vodacom Business Enterprise Strategy to accelerate growth and turn Vodacom Business into the digital partner of choice for enterprises clients. She brings a wealth of experience having led roles within South Africa and Sub-Sharan African region.

Commenting on her appointment, Videsha said: “I am honoured to join Vodacom at a time when the master brand is transitioning from a pure telecommunications provider to a technology solutions-driven company. I am equally excited to join at a time when the mother brand celebrates three decades of connecting people. I look forward to joining a dynamic and talented team, I believe that together we will drive and accelerate the growth of the business. In tandem, we will achieve great success and drive the business to new heights.”

Videsha is a visionary that can be best described as Strategic, and not scared to get down in the trenches. Some of her achievements include being honoured as one of the Top 50 Leaders in Data Centres and Cloud, driving change in Africa, as well as being named the most influential African Business Woman in Government and ICT Africa. She is also one of the most inspiring Women in South Africa and Africa Tech Week CEO of the Year for the year 2022/2023.
