Telkom names Dirk Reyneke as CFO, makes board changes

JSE-listed telecommunications company Telkom has appointed Dirk Reyneke as the group chief financial officer (CFO) effect from 05 February 2021.

In a statement to shareholders, the company says the appointment has been made pursuant to Telkom’s policy dealing with the nomination of directors.

Reyneke replaces Tsholofelo Molefe who left Telkom in December last year to join Pan-African telecoms group MTN in a similar role.

The company also announced the appointment of Kholeka Mzondeki as the chairperson of the social and ethics committee and subsequent stepping down from the investment and transactions committee.

Fagmeedah Petersen-Cook was also named member of the nominations committee; Keith Rayner as a member of the investment and transactions committee; and Alphonso Samuels as a member of both the social and ethics and investment and transactions committees respectively.

“The board wishes Mr Reyneke the best in his new role, and Telkom looks forward to the non-executive directors’ contributions to the committees of the board,” says Telkom.
