Unilever Nigeria increases quarterly revenue by 31%

Unilever Nigeria Plc, leading fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) Company, has disclosed a turnover of N58.7bn in the third quarter of 2021, as against N44.7bn in the corresponding period in 2020.

The company made this disclosure in a statement on its unaudited interim report for the period ended September 30, 2021.

According to the statement, the company recorded a gross profit of N15.9bn in the period under review, up 61 per cent from the N9.9bn reported for same period of 2020.

Unilever reported a profit after tax of N1.08bn in Q3 2021, compared with a loss after tax of N2.06bn reported for the corresponding period in 2020.

Commenting on the results, the Corporate Affairs and Sustainable Business Director, Soromidayo George, while expressing satisfaction with its performance, riding on the pillars of operational efficiency, cost optimization, purposeful brands and increasing market share across key categories, restated the company’s determination to remain focused on its strategy to deliver sustainable growth.

 “Unilever Nigeria will continue to monitor the business environment and respond appropriately to the challenges in the operating environment as well as disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic.” She said
