Dangote Refinery Exports First PMS Shipment to Cameroon

Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest oil refinery, has achieved a significant milestone by exporting its first shipment of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to Cameroon. This achievement marks a strategic partnership between Dangote Refinery and Neptune Oil, a leading energy company in Cameroon.

The successful export of the first PMS shipment to Cameroon was confirmed by Nairametrics. President and CEO of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, highlighted the importance of this development, describing it as a tangible demonstration of the vision for a united and energy-independent Africa. He emphasized that refining and exchanging African resources within the continent benefits its people.

Director and Owner of Neptune Oil, Antoine Ndzengue, hailed the partnership as transformative for Cameroon. He noted that by becoming the first importer of petroleum products from Dangote Refinery, Cameroon is boosting its energy security and supporting local economic growth. This initial supply, executed without international intermediaries, reflects a commitment to serving markets independently and efficiently.

The collaboration between Dangote Refinery and Neptune Oil is set to continue beyond the initial shipment, with plans to establish a sustainable supply chain that aims to stabilize fuel prices and foster economic growth in the region.

Significance of the First PMS Export to Cameroon
