Oghale Elueni Appointed new CEO of PZ Cussons Nigeria

PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has announced significant changes to its leadership team, with the appointment of Oghale Joseph Elueni as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and Ebenezer Oludare Elusakin as Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer.

The appointments, which take effect from June 1, 2026, follow the resignation of Dimitrios Kostianis, who stepped down as CEO on May 31, 2026, to take up a new role within the broader PZ Cussons Group.

Kostianis leaves after playing a pivotal role in the company’s recent transformation, helping restore profitability and return the business to a positive equity position despite a challenging operating environment.

Elueni, who previously served as Managing Director of PZ Cussons Nigeria’s Consumer Business, has been with the company since 2021. He brings over two decades of experience in the consumer goods industry, having held senior leadership roles at SC Johnson and Procter & Gamble across Africa and the United States.

The Board said his extensive commercial expertise, leadership capabilities, and deep understanding of the Nigerian market position him well to drive the company’s next phase of growth.

Also joining the Board is Ebenezer Oludare Elusakin, who has served as Chief Financial Officer since November 2024. Prior to joining PZ Cussons Nigeria, Elusakin held finance leadership positions at multinational companies including Unilever, Diageo, and Royal Philips.

Commenting on the changes, Board Chair Ifueko M. Omoigui Okauru thanked Kostianis for his contributions to the business and expressed confidence in the newly appointed executives.

PZ Cussons Group CEO Jonathan Myers also welcomed the appointments, reiterating the Group’s long-term commitment to Nigeria, where it has maintained a continuous presence since 1899.

The leadership changes come as PZ Cussons Nigeria continues to strengthen its operations, enhance shareholder value, and position itself for sustainable growth in Africa’s largest consumer market.
