Diageo names Kavita Hans GM for West & Central Africa

Global beverage giant Diageo has announced the appointment of Kavita Hans as the new General Manager for West and Central Africa, including Diageo Nigeria Limited (DNL), in a move set to reshape its operations and strategic partnerships across the region

Hans, whose appointment takes effect on July 1, 2024, brings over 20 years of international commercial experience spanning multinational corporations such as Mars, Heineken, and Diageo. Since joining Diageo nearly a decade ago, Hans has held key leadership roles across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. She most recently served as General Manager for the Philippines and Commercial Director for Ireland’s Off-Trade Revenue and Category Growth, delivering record market share growth and strengthening customer partnerships.

In the Philippines, she served as Vice President for European Chambers and Chair of the Alcohol Beverages Alliance Philippines, where she advocated for fair tax and excise policies while promoting responsible alcohol consumption.
