This week, Jason Kazilimani, a Senior Partner and CEO at KPMG Zambia, has been named InstinctBusiness Magazine’s “CEO OF THE WEEK” for the Month of October 23rd-29th,2022 ratings.

Jason has 22 years of experience at KPMG and he has served a large variety of financial services, not-for-profit organizations, companies in oil and gas, manufacturing, telecommunications, and hospitality sectors in Zambia, Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

Prior to joining KPMG he worked for the Accounting and Finance Department of Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines Limited, the predecessor of ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc. He holds an MBA in Financial Services from the University of East London.

Jason Kazilimani’s Educational Background

Jason holds an MBA in Financial Services from the University of East London. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of the UK and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).

Jason Kazilimani’s Career

Jason is the Senior Partner and CEO at KPMG Zambia, a firm at which he has over 26 years of experience in Zambia, Nigeria, and the UK. Prior to joining KPMG he worked for the Accounting and Finance Department of Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines Limited, the predecessor of ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc.

His experience in Nigeria includes leading IFRS conversion projects for two major banks (Access Bank Plc and Wema Bank Plc). He was also on the diagnostic review team appointed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to perform a review of 5 distressed banks in 2009. He is the leader of KPMG in Zambia and is also quite active in the profession and the community. He is a member of ZICA’s Council and chairs its Education and Training Committee and is also vice chairman of its Technical Committee. He is a regular presenter of papers on auditing and financial reporting matters and contributes articles from time to time to ZICA’s journal. He is also President of the Zambia Golf Union and the American Chamber of Commerce in Zambia.

Jason was born in the mining town of Kabwe and is midway through an impressive career that has seen him rise to become CEO for KPMG in Zambia, a firm at which he has over 26 years of experience in Zambia, Nigeria, and the UK.

He has since his appointment, contributed immensely to profitability, growth and people development in KPMG Zambia.

Under his leadership, KPMG Zambia was awarded the following notable laurels; Business Auditing Firm of the Year 2014 by Finance Monthly M&A, Auditors of the Year 2014 by ACQ Global Awards, and Adviser of the Year 2015 by Acquisition International.

Jason is the leader of KPMG in Zambia and is also quite active in the profession and the community. He is a member of ZICA’s Council and chairs its Education and Training Committee and is also vice chairman of its Technical Committee.

He is passionate about leadership and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration.
