Ghana: Kasapreko expands into Kenya

Kasapreko Company Limited from Ghana has recently extended its reach into the Kenyan market. The company currently exports its diverse range of products, including bitters, whisky, gin, and liqueurs, to 16 countries worldwide, showcasing its global presence.

Kasapreko currently generates annual revenues exceeding $35 million.

Multi-millionaire tycoon Kwabena Adjei’s Kasapreko Company Limited, based in Ghana, has made a significant foray into the East African market by introducing well-known brands like Alomo Bitters, Alomo Gold, Kasapreko London Dry Gin, Black Rock Whisky, Carnival Strawberry, and Kalahari Bitters.

Canary International Trading Company Limited, a subsidiary of the Canary Group of Companies specializing in food and beverage distribution, facilitated Kasapreko’s expansion into Kenya.

Speaking during the launch at the Ghana High Commission in Nairobi, Patrick Masope-Crabbe, founder of Canary Group of Companies, said that the firm will focus on a business-to-business (B2B) model in order to ensure that the Kasapreko products spread rapidly into the market to reach consumers. He mentioned that their goal is to collaborate with a wide range of alcohol distributors and establishments.

Canary International currently operates in West Africa, East Africa, and the United Arab Emirates.

In a report by Capital FM Kenya, Francis Holly Adzah, the International Business Development Director at Kasapreko Company Limited, has encouraged Kenyans and the broader East African community to embrace Ghanaian heritage by exploring the wide range of beverages offered by the company.

He highlighted that Kasapreko has harnessed the power of research and development, combining advanced technology with traditional local recipes in their production processes.

“Kasapreko stands as a beacon of quality, innovation, and heritage, boasting a state-of-the-art production facility, global export reach, and an iconic flagship product, Alomo Bitters,” he added.

In response to the growing demand for high-quality alcoholic beverages, Ghanaian entrepreneur Kwabena Adjei established Kasapreko Company Ltd in 1989, with a specialization in crafting locally sourced herbal-based alcoholic products.

What began as a modest venture in Dr. Kwabena Adjei’s garage has transformed into a cutting-edge production facility. Kasapreko now boasts over 100 different products, exporting them to 16 countries worldwide across categories such as bitters, whisky, gin, liqueur, brandy, carbonated soft drinks, and wine. Impressively, Kasapreko achieves annual revenues surpassing $35 million.
