Ghana: AAG appoints Isaac Cudjoe as Executive Director

Isaac Cudjoe has assumed the role of Executive Director at the Advertising Association of Ghana.

Following 25 years of dedicated service, the esteemed Francis Dadzie, known for his unwavering commitment, has retired from the position of Executive Director at the Advertising Association of Ghana. Isaac Cudjoe has taken over the role, tasked with maintaining and further enhancing the distinguished reputation built by Dadzie during his tenure.

Speaking on the appointment, the President of the AAG, Andrew Ackah, said, “Isaac’s exceptional career and industry knowledge make him the ideal choice for this role. 

“His wealth of experience and skills will be beneficial to the next growth chapter of the AAG. We are optimistic that his appointment will inject new energy, build formidable relationships with the young executives, reinvigorate interest and participation in all activities of the AAG, and harness the many potentials that lie ahead of us as we work together to build a formidable brand.  Our growth strategy and trajectory will continue seamlessly.”

Expressing gratitude for the bestowed honor, Mr. Cudjoe conveyed his humility upon being appointed and expressed eagerness to contribute to the Advertising Association of Ghana’s rich legacy as a promoter of top-tier advertising practices.

“I look forward to fostering growth while collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure the AAG and industry’s success” he said.

Mr. Isaac Cudjoe brings to the role extensive corporate leadership experience, encompassing over two decades in various sectors, including mainstream media, FMCG, Aviation, telecommunications, and the not-for-profit industry.

He has functional experience in corporate communications, brand management, media and government relations, regulatory affairs, and corporate partnerships.

Having held senior positions in roles that transcended national boundaries, Mr. Isaac Cudjoe’s professional journey has spanned across Africa, with notable engagements in countries such as Nigeria, Benin, Niger, Togo, Guinea Conakry, Sierra-Leone, Liberia, The Gambia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), and Mozambique.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Cudjoe has a background in broadcast journalism, having served at Joy FM within the Multimedia Group. Notably, he held the distinction of being the inaugural Producer for Joy FM’s prominent program, “Newsfile.”

He  transitioned into roles within prominent companies such as British American Tobacco Company, Equatorial Coca-Cola Company of Ghana, Vodafone Ghana, Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, and VSO International. In these diverse organizations, he played pivotal roles in leading strategic communications functions in various capacities.

Before assuming the role of Executive Director at the Advertising Association of Ghana, Mr. Cudjoe was engaged in managing a family business and operating his consultancy firm.

He is an accredited Public Relations expert with the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana.

He holds a Bachelor of Education (Honours) degree in English & French from the University of Cape Coast, and an M.A in Communication Studies (Public Relations & Advertising) from the University of Ghana.
