Ghana: BoG approves RightCard to resume remittance services in Ghana

RightCard Payment Services Limited (LemFi) has received approval from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to recommence its remittance services to Ghana in collaboration with approved partners.

This aligns with RightCard’s (LemFi) dedication to delivering secure and efficient services in adherence to the established regulatory framework set by the Bank of Ghana.

Earlier today, on Monday, February 5, RightCard (LemFi) officially declared the resumption of its services to Ghana. This follows a temporary suspension of its money transfer services to Ghana in November 2023.

RightCard Payment Services Limited (LemFi) can now resume its services in Ghana through approved payment companies, namely BigPay and ExpressPay.

RightCard (LemFi) offers innovative services and products across different markets through the LemFi app.

LemFi is already licensed as an Electronic Money Institution by the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom.

“We are grateful to stakeholders at the Bank of Ghana as well as our partners for their role in ensuring service restoration”, says Precious Ama Kwartemaa Oduro, LemFi’s Country Manager. ”

We resume our operations with a better understanding, and we are now better positioned to address the evolving needs of the Ghanaian market.”

LemFi’s reintroduction to Ghana is characterized by a renewed emphasis on enhancing customer satisfaction, fortifying partnerships with crucial stakeholders, and a dedicated commitment to advancing financial inclusion.

Customers, both existing and potential, can now benefit from LemFi’s competitive exchange rates, zero transaction fees, and instantaneous transfer delivery. To access these advantages, individuals can download the app from the iOS or Google Play Store.
