Ghana: Olam Agri appoints Baibhav Biswas as Country Head

Olam Agri, a prominent global player in the food and agribusiness sector, has named Baibhav Biswas as the new Country Head for Ghana. In this role, Mr. Biswas will lead Olam Agri Ghana’s operations, steering its growth and driving further success.

Mr. Biswas brings over 30 years of leadership experience to his new position, having held key roles in Olam Agri and other organizations. His vast experience in international markets, particularly across Africa, has provided him with valuable insights into the local business environment and the unique challenges and opportunities it offers.

Prior to this appointment, Biswas served as the Business Head for Olam Agri’s Grains division in Ghana. Under his leadership, the company’s wheat milling business flourished, establishing itself as a market leader and expanding its reach into neighboring countries.

As the new Country Head, Mr. Biswas will manage all facets of Olam Agri’s operations in Ghana, including its rice and grain businesses. He will focus on strategic development, operational management, and strengthening stakeholder relationships.

He will also focus on reinforcing the company’s market presence, fostering innovation, and contributing to the sustainable growth of the local agricultural sector.

Mr. Biswas succeeds Amit Agrawal, who has led the organization for over 15 years. The staff and management of Olam Agri have expressed their congratulations and well-wishes to Mr. Biswas, along with heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Agrawal for his significant contributions to the company’s growth and success.
