Ghana: Absa Bank celebrates Customer Service Week with month-long ‘Wow October’ initiative

Absa Bank Ghana Limited has launched a month-long celebration dubbed ‘Wow October’ to mark Customer Service Week.

The initiative aims to boost customer engagement and reinvigorate the service culture within the bank.

Evelyn Acquah, Chief Customer Officer at Absa Bank Ghana, commented, “By extending our focus, we’re creating more opportunities to deepen our understanding of customer needs and respond effectively.”

The initiative features interactive sessions where customers share their experiences and expectations for future banking services directly with bank staff.

During this period, senior leaders at Absa will take the opportunity to visit loyal customers, and employees will participate in team-building exercises aimed at reinforcing customer service principles.

Among the activities planned to delight customers are health screenings in selected Absa Bank branches. These will include eye screenings, blood sugar tests, and blood pressure checks. The bank is also offering instant giveaways to customers who sign up for digital products.

“We are committed to serving our customers with excellence,” explained Evelyn Acquah.

“‘Wow October’ is one step forward on our journey towards enhancing our clients’ banking experience, ensuring that every interaction is both seamless and memorable,” she concluded.
