Ronil Besele takes helm as CEO of Letlole La Rona

Letlole La Rona (LLR) has appointed seasoned real estate executive Ronil Sekgele Besele as her new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026, as the company seeks to strengthen its growth trajectory and long-term value creation strategy.

Besele succeeds Rorisang Modikana, who has served as Acting CEO since November 2025. He brings close to 20 years of experience in real estate and infrastructure, including more than a decade in senior leadership roles.

His expertise spans real estate investment, portfolio management, financial feasibility analysis, public-private partnerships, and corporate governance.

Prior to joining LLR, Besele served as Property Development Executive at the Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA), where he led initiatives aimed at developing Botswana’s Special Economic Zones and attracting investment into key sectors.

He also gained international experience as a Director in Deloitte’s Real Estate Advisory practice in Sydney, Australia, advising government and private-sector clients on major property and infrastructure projects.

Besele holds a Bachelor of Business Management in Real Estate and Development from the University of Queensland and a Master of Financial Management from the Australian National University. He is also a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

The LLR Board expressed confidence that Besele’s extensive industry experience, deep understanding of Botswana’s real estate landscape, and strong governance credentials will support the company’s strategic objectives and enhance long-term returns for unitholders.

The Board also acknowledged Modikana’s leadership during her tenure as Acting CEO, commending her contribution to the company’s stability, performance, and value creation efforts
