Makro reveals its massive Black Friday deals to the public

One of South Africa’s biggest retailers has released its Black Friday specials for 2022, showing off big sales on selected items.

Macros Black Friday deals extend to all things load shedding, appliance, cellular, computer, television, outdoor and liquor. The deals are now live, valid from Wednesday, 23 November, until Sunday, 27 November.

Makro, under the umbrella company Massmart, has taken a big step towards online shopping and faster delivery services. Over 75% of all deliveries are made within 48 hours, Massmart said.

Mid-last year, the group partnered with OneCart, an on-demand multi-retailer marketplace, to take a handful of Makro stores online.

Massmart has said that new updates to its e-commerce in preparation for Black Friday will allow for delivery between 2 and 5 days.

Makro is also set to launch a “secret coupon” feature for more discounts before you check out.

Some sales include:

  • R16,999 (R3,000 off) for a 65-inch Samsung QLED 4K TV TV
  • R14,999 (R6,000 off) for an LG 446 litre Universe Combi Fridge
  • R1,999 (R800 off) for a Bennett Read 7.2 litre Air Fryer
