Ghana: GLICO Healthcare reintroduces Sunkwa Health Plan

GLICO Healthcare, a trailblazer in private health insurance in Ghana, has unveiled the revamped Sunkwa Health Plan and introduced a cutting-edge e-Health App. The announcement took place at Tang Palace Hotel, with key figures from the health and insurance sectors in attendance, including Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, CEO of NHIA, and Mr. Hudu Issah, President of the Private Health Insurance Association, alongside GLICO Group Ltd.’s Board and management and other distinguished guests.

The GLICO Sunkwa Health Plan is a comprehensive health insurance product designed to cater for the unique healthcare needs of Ghanaians, both home and abroad, who wish to secure health coverage for their dependents and relatives in Ghana. With the tagline ‘Abusua apommuden nti’, the product covers a wide range of out and in-patient services, including general practitioner and specialist consultation, prescription drugs, laboratory tests, x-rays, dental care, eye and optical care, as well as surgical and medical treatment.

Speaking at the occasion, Prof. David Ofori Adjei, Board Chairman of GLICO Healthcare, said: “Today, we stand at the cusp of a groundbreaking innovation in not only the health insurance space, but also in improving the accessibility of health provision across societal boundaries. In addition to the Sunkwa Health Plan, GLICO Healthcare has launched its e-Health App. This digital platform is crafted to offer subscribers convenient access to health information, telemedicine services, and a range of features enhancing accessibility to well-being.
