Ghana: GNBCC & MDF West Africa opens applications for the 5th edition of the Dutch Export Academy

The Ghana Netherlands Business and Culture Council (GNBCC), in collaboration with MDF West Africa, has announced the start of applications for the 5th edition of the Dutch Export Academy (DEA).

The DEA is a training program designed for Ghanaian entrepreneurs in the horticulture sector aiming to export to the European Union (EU) market.

The initiative provides practical insights, expert guidance, and hands-on training to empower participants with the knowledge and skills needed for successful international trade.

The upcoming edition is scheduled to run from Tuesday, May 14th to Thursday, May 30th, 2024. Training sessions will be held for six days, three times a week, with a one-week interval, at East Legon in Accra.

The program includes Classroom Training Sessions, Field Visits, and a Practical Intermission Program. Topics covered during the training period encompass EU Export Processes and Documentation, Export Finance, Strategic Customer-Centric Development, International Trade Agreements, Practicalities of Shipping, and more.

The intermission period will encompass Industry Experiences, Market Research, Cross-Cultural Etiquette, Contract Preparation, Negotiation, and Coaching sessions.
