Ghana: GTBank introduces new banking Initiative known as “GTExpress”

Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited has launched its agency banking initiative known as GTExpress, in an effort to build its brand and provide convenient banking to its clients and the general public.

With GTExpress, account users can complete banking transactions conveniently without going to a banking hall at a partner’s well-known retail location or company in their neighborhood.

Withdrawals, deposits, own and third-party bank transfers, and utility bill payments are just a few of the services offered through this service.

Head of Digital Banking in charge of GTExpress, Kenneth Ometha added,  GTBank’s resolve to provide convenience to the Bank’s customers. “As a customer-focused bank with key focus on our Retail segment, we are partnering with businesses within various communities to act as the Bank’s agencies and offer customers access to everyday banking services without them having to visit the banking hall.”

Mr. Ometha continued that, “This is also our way of reducing the number of unbanked people in Ghana. Anyone who does not have an account with GTBank can simply visit any GTExpress location with a valid national identification card to open an account and enjoy the very best of services.”

The GTExpress Agency Banking service is an addition to GTBank’s wide range of convenient and innovative products and services that provide in-the-moment solutions to customers’ demands.
