In a bid to deepen insurance penetration among Ghana’s informal sector, GLICO Life has announced the launch of its new product, the ‘GLICO Micro Insurance e-Premium’ to complement the company’s efforts to deepen insurance penetration in Ghana.

According to the Managing Director of GLICO Life, Mame Dufie Achampong-Kyei, she explained that this product is aimed at inculcating the habit of savings and insurance among petty traders across the country.

She added further that, “What we witnessed is the launch of the GLICO Micro Insurance e-Premium. Basically, what this entails is a micro insurance. Over the years, we get to collect these premiums via mobile money. This is a very effective way of paying claims and premiums and we believe this goes a long way of even deepening the trust of our customers”.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Achampong-Kyei has pegged customer service as the major focus of GLICO Life in 2020.

According to her, GLICO will in 2020 introduce new products tailor-made for customers of all classes.

GLICO Life was honored for its use of technology in deploring a robust life insurance system application to ensure effective sales and customer policy administration.

The company was also recognized for deploying digital platforms such as its e-processing platforms, M-proposal and M-agent for its insurance sales and premium administration, including its micro insurance operations, nationwide
