Modello City Homes and Dagbo Limited to invest in real estate

Modello City Homes, a local base real estate company, and its USA-based counterpart, has put investment together complete housing projects to help solve the housing needs of Ghanaians. The country’s real estate sector has witnessed significant growth in the last couple of years.

The partnership investment was announced by Modello City Homes and Dagbo Limited involves the investment of GHS800,000 to build 20,000 housing units in the next ten years to help the government to solve housing deficit across the country.

Modello City Homes offers a major  urban centre with 760 residential homes, shopping centre, hospital, sport complex, school complex, 300  villas duplex of four bedrooms, 400 villas duplex of five bedrooms, 60 apartments of two bedrooms, four bedrooms houses, four fully self-contained with balcony, one living room, among other features.

The project has two phases and the first phase which will begin in August this year with a total of 760 housing units is made up of 300 villas duplex of four bedrooms, 400 villas duplex of five bedrooms and 60 apartments of two bedrooms to begin in August 2019 on three sites across the country.

This is expected to be completed in 2021 while the project sites in the Greater Accra Region are Amansaman, Prampram and   Oyarifa.

CEO of Modello City Homes, Mr Semanu Atta, said  his houses have basic amenities such as water system with constant  24/7 flow, drainage and sewage systems, recreational centre (Gymnasium, Swimming pool, Tennis Court, Basketball Pitch among others), club House -available to residents for their private functions, shopping mall- with office space for rent to residents, health centre, pre-school and most importantly, 24-hour security  to make the project stand out. Concerning affordability of housing in Ghana, Mr Senanu said escalating prices of land, building materials and land guard activities account for the high cost of estate houses in Ghana thus defeating the term affordable housing in Ghana.
