Titilayo Yetunde Olusanya adjudged Woman CFO of the Year for Public Sector

Mrs. Titilayo Yetunde Olusanya, Director of Finance Management and Control at the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has been honored with the prestigious title of Woman CFO of the Year for public sector at the 2024 InstinctBusiness CFO Summit and Awards held at the luxurious Oriental Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.

With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Titilayo’s exceptional leadership and financial acumen have been recognized by industry peers and experts alike. Titilayo’s impressive accomplishments, strategic vision, and dedicated pursuit of excellence truly embody the qualities that deserve recognition for this award. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master of Science degree in Public Sector Accounting from Nasarawa State University, Titilayo’s academic prowess is complemented by her extensive experience in finance management.

As a pioneer staff member of NITDA, Titilayo has consistently demonstrated her ability to implement innovative strategies to drive revenue growth and exceed targets. Under her leadership, she has spearheaded initiatives such as the adoption of strategies aimed at sustaining the Agency’s revenue projections and even surpass when the need arises, NITDA/FIRS stakeholders’ engagement on the enhancement of 1% NITDEF Levy collection as well as cascading the job schedules of other directorate cadre staff to align with the Agency’s Road Map and Departmental Balanced Scorecard, amongst others.

Reflecting on her achievement, Titilayo expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, “I am deeply honored to receive this award, which is a testament to the collective efforts of my team at NITDA. This accolade reaffirms our commitment to excellence in financial management and underscores the importance of collaborative leadership in achieving organizational success.”

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Titilayo is actively involved in mentoring, training, and counseling initiatives, demonstrating her dedication to nurturing talent and fostering growth within the industry. In terms of her affiliations, Titilayo is a fellow of both the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management. Aside the aforementioned, she has received extensive professional training locally and internationally.

Hailing from Ogun State, she is a proud wife and mother, balancing her professional achievements with her commitment to family.

The just ended InstinctBusiness CFO Summit and Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in financial leadership, recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to the field.
