Fintech and Payment Association to enhance Ghana’s financial ecosystem

Director of Growth, Africa for Taptap Send remittance firm, Darryl Koku Mawutor Abraham says the establishment and inauguration of the Ghana Fintech and Payment Association (GFPA) will go a long way in enhancing the digital financial ecosystem for economic transformation.

He said as the umbrella and foremost entity for the promotion and advancement of financial technology and e-commerce, the Association has the weighty responsibility in lifting Ghana to the highest state of the global digital economy.

President of the Governing Council of GFPA and CEO of ACME  Martin Awagah, added the Association intents to lead Fintech community with trusted advisors and facilitators to collaborate the growth of Fintech in Ghana as well as advancing digital services industry, creating value for all players through digital innovation.

The Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr. Ernest Addison, in an address delivered on his behalf by Mr. Kwame Oppong, of the Fintech and Innovation Office of the Bank, cautioned operators in the Fintech and digital financials services to be conscious of cyber security and guard against cyber.
