MTN Ghana has contributed GH¢10,000.00, GH¢1000 in airtime, and a drink hamper to aid in the festivities of the Kundum Festival in Esiama, located in the Nzema East Municipality of the Western Region.

At a brief ceremony, Senior Manager South West Business of MTN, Prince Owusu Nyarko said; “as a friend of the traditional Area, we have come to reaffirm our relationship and lend our support to the people of Esiama as we have done in the past. Today we have come to support the traditional council in revamping their cultural heritage after the devastating effect of COVID-19”.

He expressed that MTN’s belief is in the positive impact of aiding various Traditional Areas to foster development within their communities. This is the reason they maintain their support for more than 40 traditional councils nationwide.

In order to ensure a unique customer experience during the celebration, Mr. Nyarko mentioned that MTN will establish experience centers at strategic locations. Additionally, in light of recent SIM registrations, MTN will assist customers in reactivating their SIM cards with the Ghana Card and facilitate registrations for those who still need to do so.

“We hope that through this festival we will be able to strengthen our relationship with our customers in this area and help resolve some of the customer issues they have. In addition, we seek an opportunity to do some education on Momo fraud. We all must help educate our cherished customers on the benefits of keeping their phones and wallets safe” he added.
