LASHMA provides free health insurance to the vulnerable

General Manager for Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), Emmanuella Zamba has commended its management for providing free health insurance coverage for the vulnerable in society through EKO Social Health Alliance (EKOSHA) by the State Health Scheme (LSHS) Law.

The Lagos State Health Management offered free health insurance to the vulnerable in Ijede to ensure access to quality health care in the Area.

Mrs. Zamba explained that the designation of the initiative is to provide a sustainable structure for the implementation of ILERA EKO free health plans for the vulnerable in the state.

The National Health Insurance Act (NHIA) according to her, makes it mandatory to attain Universal Health Alliance Coverage in the state.

She assured the initiative will continue to champion the vulnerable and grassroots in accessing quality and affordable healthcare.
