New: Reckitt Nigeria Appoints Toyin Saraki, Olashore to Board

Reckitt Nigeria has appointed H.E. Mrs. Toyin Ojora Saraki and Prince Abimbola Olashore as Independent Non-Executive Directors, strengthening the company’s board as it seeks to advance its strategic priorities and long-term growth plans in Nigeria.

The appointments were announced by Reckitt Benckiser Nigeria Limited and come following the passing of the company’s Board Chairman, Chief Michael Olumuyiwa Falomo. The company said Falomo’s leadership and stewardship played a significant role in shaping its growth and governance over several decades and acknowledged his lasting contributions to the organization.

Toyin Ojora Saraki, Founder-President of The Wellbeing Foundation Africa, joins the board with more than two decades of experience in maternal, newborn and child health, gender equity and community wellbeing. She currently serves as the inaugural Global Health Ambassador for the WHO Foundation and holds advisory and leadership positions with several international organizations, including the World Health Organization, the World Economic Forum, AstraZeneca Global Breast Cancer Care Council and Bayer Sustainability Council.

According to the company, her expertise in public health, sustainability and development will provide valuable insight as Reckitt Nigeria continues to pursue its mission of protecting, healing and nurturing communities.

Prince Abimbola Olashore brings more than 30 years of experience in banking, investment management and corporate advisory. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lead Capital Plc and has held senior leadership positions at Ecobank Transnational Group and Lead Advisory Group, where he oversaw strategic growth initiatives and organizational transformation.

Olashore also serves as President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce, Deputy President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Council Member and Chairman of the Environment, Social and Governance Committee of the Chartered Institute of Directors.

Reckitt Nigeria said his experience in financial strategy, corporate governance and institutional leadership would support the company’s strategic direction and long-term objectives.

Commenting on the appointments, Managing Director of Reckitt West Africa, Akbar Ali-Shah, said the addition of Saraki and Olashore to the board would enhance governance and support the company’s commitment to sustainable growth and innovation.
